What is the age requirement to go on a mission trip?

Adult mission trips are for individuals 18 and older. Youth mission trips are for individuals 14 and older.


When am I officially committed to the trip?

You are officially added to the team when you receive a confirmation email from the mission’s department.


What are the requirements to be part of a mission’s team?

We require our mission team members to complete Connection Point, submit of a trip application along with the $200.00 deposit, have a current passport and an up-to-date church background check.


What does the trip cost include?

The cost of the trip includes your transportation (airfare, travel to and from airport) travel money for food while in route to your destination, ground cost for travel in the state or country you are serving.


Where do I get the money to go on a trip?

Each team member can personally contribute and raise his or her own financial support to go on a mission trip. We have found that many people don’t have the time or ability to go on a mission trip but have the desire to be involved in some way. We ask, therefore, that every person going on a trip raise his/her funds by writing letters to friends and family sharing the goal of the trip and the financial requirements to make the trip happen.


How do I donate to a mission team? 

On the "Support a Team Member" form, select the trip, enter the team member's name, and enter payment information to donate.

Where can I get a passport?

You can obtain a passport by clicking on the link below or by going to your local post office.

What if I don’t have a passport?

If you do not have a passport, apply immediately for a passport. If your passport expires less than six months after your departure date, you will need to renew your passport as soon as possible. Additionally, if you have a non-U.S. passport, you are responsible for finding out if a visa is required for you to travel to a specific country.


What happens if the trip is full?

If the trip is full your application is placed on a waiting list. If a space opens on the team, you will receive an email to let you know that a space is available. If a leader of another trip is still looking for people for his or her team, then he or she may contact you to see if you are interested in joining their mission team.


Can I travel to another destination or stay longer at my destination?

It is imperative for team unity and for liability reasons that all trip participants travel together, therefore you may not travel to another destination or extend the length of your stay.


Is Safety an Issue?

We have taken every precaution possible to mitigate unnecessary risks involved with our trips. We continually monitor the personal, social, political, and environmental factors that might heighten the security issues of our teams and consider the security of our teams very important.
